Frantically, I felt at the back of my dress, thinking, “no… no… no… this isn’t happening!”

Then I felt it – a foot-long tear right up the back of my dress.

“Oh my God, this can’t be real!”

My breathing got faster, I felt my body shake, and tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to wipe away the makeup that took hours to put on… What was I going to tell everyone? What would they say about me? How could I tell my best friend that I just ruined her wedding?! I imagined them all giggling about how Kristi was sooo fat that she ripped her dress!
